Lanes shut down on north MoPac Expressway after crash, APD says AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department responded to a crash that is currently impacting traffic in north Austin, the agency said on Twitter.Shortly before 3:30 p.m., APD said officers were at the scene of the crash in the 10400 block of North MoPac Expressway. All southbound lanes were shut down.According to the Texas Department of Transportation, Lanes 1-4 were all blocked, which includes the three main lanes and the shoulder.The crash was confirmed at approximately 2:52 p.m., according to TxDOT.This is a developing story. Hutto expects more growth as economic interest soars HUTTO, Texas (KXAN) — Economic leaders in Hutto said announcements on businesses coming to the area could be shared as soon as the end of this summer.Bob Farley, economic development director, said interest in Hutto has grown in recent months as support industries to the Samsung semiconductor plant in Taylor look to plant roots ahead of the plant's anticipated opening late next year.He said he is not at liberty to say what businesses could be coming to the area just yet but said that plans were in the works.Farley said economic developments also continue in the city's Co-Op District which most recently welcomed a new Top Notch Hamburgers location.He said several more restaurants are set to open their doors in the still-developing district within the next year."Our city manager has just finished some negotiations with the developer of the Co-op and so there are going to be some additional things happening over the course of the next nine months. (NEWS10)---In a recent letter to the Governor, Catalina Cruz and Johnathan Rivera, two Assembly Democrats call on Hochul to use all SUNY dorms Statewide to provide shelter for migrants during the summer months. NYSP: Vehicle theft suspect arrested in Cobleskill COBLESKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) --A 31-year-old Schoharie man is in custody following investigations into a report of an unwanted guest at a residence in Cobleskill. Police located the suspect, Roger S. Police determined that Clark Jr. had stolen the vehicle that was parked on the driveway. Police say he had reportedly stolen the vehicle from a nearby business and operated it while impaired. The vehicle owner was unaware of the theft. Police notified the owner and returned the vehicle to them.Clark Jr. was charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, Driving While Impaired by Drugs, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law offenses. State Police arrest Troy man for menacing with a box cutter COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man has been arrested by State Police for threatening to harm someone with a box cutter. On May 25 at 8:46 a.m., Troopers responded to the median of State Route 7 in Colonie, following the report of an altercation. The investigation determined that Sharp got into a verbal disagreement with a person unknown to him. During the dispute, Sharp allegedly brandished and threatened to use a box cutter to hurt the victim. State Police say that no one was injured during the quarrel, and that Sharp left the area as law enforcement arrived. Montgomery County police implement new dispatch technology Sharp later surrendered himself to SP Latham, where he was processed. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Colonie Town Court on June 7 and released.
