That is, passing the late Don Baylor for the second-most wins among Rockies managers in franchise history.Black deftly danced around the topic and told anecdotes about pitching to Baylor during his playing days.“I think I hit Baylor more than any player I faced,” Black said. “He was a tough guy. He stood right on top of the plate and never moved!”Sunday, when the Rockies held on to beat the Mets, 11-10, in a Coors Field hit parade, Black notched the 441st win of his Colorado career, moving him past Baylor. Clint Hurdle, who led the Rockies to their only World Series in 2007, leads the list with 534 wins.Black, who led the Rockies to the playoffs in 2017-18 — the only back-to-back playoff seasons in club history — has a 441-483 regular-season record, good for a .477 winning percentage, ranking third. OAKLAND – The Oakland A’s have had four players come off the injured list this month. A handful of others will be eligible to come off the IL in the coming days and weeks.Considering the sorry state of the A’s pitching staff, no player will be welcomed back more than right-hander and 2022 all-star Paul Blackburn, who is set to start Monday against Matt Olson and the Atlanta Braves.Blackburn might not be a savior, but his return to Oakland can’t come soon enough, especially after the A’s were blasted 10-1 on Sunday by the Houston Astros, who set a new record for the 55-year-old Coliseum by hitting seven home runs.Yordan Álvarez hit two homers, and Jake Meyers, Chas McCormick, Jose Altuve, José Abreu, and Jeremy Peña each connected on one as the Astros swept the three-game series and handed the A’s (10-45) their 11th straight loss, their longest skid in close to three decades.Luis Medina gave up Meyers’ three-run shot in the fourth inning and allowed back-to-ba...Luke Boyers and Brayden Taylor hit HRs, TCU beats Oklahoma State for Big 12 Tournament title
