The Minnesota man convicted of kidnapping, raping and killing a North Dakota college student 20 years ago has been moved from death row in Indiana to a Florida prison, according to federal records.Alfonso Rodriguez, 70, was convicted of killing 22-year-old Dru Sjodin in November 2003 after abducting the Pequot Lakes, Minn., native from a mall parking lot in Grand Forks, N.D. Her body was found in April of the next year in Crookston, Minn., where Rodriguez lived.Rodriguez has been moved from a death row prison in Terre Haute, Ind., to Coleman II, a high-security penitentiary in Sumterville, Fla., according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, the Bismarck Tribune reported.A convicted sex offender at the time of Sjodin’s murder, Rodriguez was sentenced to death in 2007. A third person wanted in connection with a deadly stabbing on a Metro train in Long Beach was arrested as he attempted to board a flight at LAX, according to the Long Beach Police Department.Gael Cruz-Gonzalez, 21, of Compton, was arrested Sunday by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents at LAX as he awaited a flight to Mexico.Cruz-Gonzalez was identified as a suspect in the April 12 killing of 25-year-old Luis Fernando Polita, who was stabbed to death on a Metro Blue Line train in Long Beach.Polita was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and was pronounced dead after paramedics removed him from the train and transported him to the hospital. 82-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Collision near Glendale AvenueGLENDALE, AZ (June 20, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, three victims sustained injuries in a wrong-way accident on State Route 51.Authorities responded to the scene just before 2:00 a.m., near Glendale Avenue on May 11th.According to the police, they witnessed a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes.
